Even if your boat is in storage for the winter, you are still captain. You are still in charge, and you still have things to do. Remember, you are in control, at sea or ashore. Afloat or on land.

LET GO is the article today. It's tough for many of us to let go of things, places, hurts, duties, and our sense of needing to solve the world's problems. Letting go is liberating. Even letting go of the clutter of things we no longer need or use makes space and makes us feel better. Try it.

You need to let go of the old to make space for the new to come into your life. the objective is to let go of something not needed to make room for what is needed. It's that simple.

Last week I mentioned Eldon Taylor and the offer that you'd see today. It's HERE. I use and recommend his work. Look at the options and if you think it will work for you, get it. If not, don't. There are many free gifts available. It's a big list. See what works for you. I am exposed to many of these each week. I probably only present one out of 20 or more to you.

There will be no newsletter next week due to Thanksgiving in the USA. We all have much to be thankful for. Make a list of what you are thankful for. If you spend a few minutes on it, you will be amazed at how long the list is. Do it. It'll open your eyes to how fortunate you are. We all are. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Thanks to those of you who attended the ONE SALE tele seminar. The next one is the BUCKET LIST tele seminar. Do sign up for it.

Inspiring Quotations

" Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone."

-Pablo Picasso

"The pen that writes your life story must be held in your own hand."

— Doug Larson

"You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

-Eleanor Roosevelt

"The biggest mistake you can make is
to believe that you work for someone else. "

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

-Steve Jobs

I guess Pop got tired of my telling him
to let go of controlling me
and decided to write about it.
I'll let you know if he takes his own advice.
I sure hope so.
It'll be better for all of us. Especially me!

We can all do better without someone trying to control us all the time. Of course, he can't control me anyway. I just run away and laugh. The more I run and laugh the madder he gets. It's a good lesson for him.

Training Pop to let go and enjoy life is a challenge some days. Me, I try to lead by example.

Gobble, gobble, gobble. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I am going to have fun all day, and I hope you will also. I hope I am not old enough to help with the dishes!

Let Go. Release and let go

Why do we hold on so tight? Gravity will hold us. When we die we lose our grip. The world goes on. Life continues without us. What we do is done by someone else or not at all. Somehow, someway, it all works out.

Why do we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders? Isn’t life to be a great adventure? Who said we came to solve all the problems of the world?

Let’s face it, if we can control ourselves we’ve accomplished something great. We also have to face the fact, we can’t control others. Sure, we may be able to force someone temporarily, but not long term.

Why do we feel we are irreplaceable? Why do we feel we are the only ones that can do it? Is it true? No, it’s not true. Some can do certain items even better than we can. Some things we do we need not do. They can be done by someone else, they should be done by someone else, or they need not be done at all.

Let go and get a life. Let go and relax. When we let go, it’s like pealing on onion. We let go layer after layer. Letting go is liberating and feels like the weight of the world is taken off our shoulders.

Let go of what is not part of your unique ability. Let go of trying to control your family. We need to agree on the guidelines and then self-monitor. That works for a family as well as for a business.

We control, or think we do, ourselves. Why should others not do the same for themselves. They can grow and develop the skills if we let them. They’ll appreciate it more, and you’ll get time and space.

When you are exhausted, there are not enough hours in the day, and can’t reach your goals, it’s time to let go. Let go, feel better, and you’ll create the time for that which is the most important.

Letting go is not easy. Letting others self-manage might well be to first watch them fail and then, trying and trying, they will gain self worth, learn to do it, and fly. They will feel better about themselves, and you will feel better about them as well as about yourself.

Let go of those items that are not important to your life goals. Let go so that you can do a better job on the important items. Let go so that you can have the time and space to do what you truly need to do.

Let go so you can have a life. You are here to create, to leave the world a better place, and to give back. Doing these things should not preclude you from having fun and enjoying life at the same time.

Let go. Get a life. Enjoy life. Do what adds value. You have the time and space, if you just let go of that which you don’t need to and shouldn’t be doing.
