We just celebrated Columbus Day in the United States. Columbus was the explorer that found North America and what is now the United States. He set off in his ship to find the new world. Some thought the world was flat and he'd fall off. He followed his dream. Are you following your dreams? Life is meant to be a daring adventure or learning and doing. If you are not, why not? Today is a new day and you can start today. Yes, you can. We took 4 days to go to New Hampshire and Maine with family. Cameron made it all a daring adventure. The adults all had more fun just watching Cameron, his excitement and wonder at it all. The Fryeburg Fair was a big hit, It is an 8 day huge event drawing 300,000 plus people. It is an adventure to see the farm people and the 4H children. It is a slice of life most of us are not aware of and it is wonderful to see it and get back to our roots. The 4H children work hard and take great pride in raising their animals. It's wonderful and inspiring to see. Take a moment and go to the website and visit— FRYEBURG FAIR. Often clients tell me they do not have time. During our four day family adventure I found quiet moments to read. I was aware of the time and how much time was spent waiting when one could be reading or doing something. Me, I get up early and have quiet time. When others are getting ready to go out you also have time to do something if you are ready ahead of the others. There is always time for those who have something important to do. PS: Why should you be a KID, again?

I had a GREAT vacation going to the Fryeburg Fair in Maine, a steam train ride in North Conway, New Hampshire, and a visit to a pumpkin farm with a tractor ride. Having my parents, grandparents, and aunt and uncle to share it with made it even more fun. Being a student of the Poplar Express I held tight to my ticket the entire 1 hour ride. If you don't know why, I guess you have not seen the Polar Express. See it with a kid and you'll enjoy it. We went on a small hike around a lake and that was also fun. I was able to throw rocks in the water and see a beaver dam. Kids are creative and can have fun anywhere at any time. We are not rushing to the next thing, we just enjoy where we are and what we have at the moment. I smile and they smile right back. It's easy and it's fun. |
