WHAT IS A SCREENING?
Screenings help individuals assess the status of their own, or their child's,neurodevelopmental functional ability to receive, store, recall, or learn information. This is only a screening event, not an in-depth evaluation. It will offer guidance for reaching full learning potential.
Screening test results will be provided that evening.
Many of the problem areas in learning you will discover can be alleviated by doing simple activities or by you working with your child. It will help you decide if you or your child might need professional intervention, or not. As a part of our ministry, we have been providingfree seminars for parents and educators which equip them with techniques that help with reading, short-term and long-term memory, organization, coordination, sensory integration and so much more. These techniques have helped them get "connected" or neurologically efficient. When the neuro-connections are vast and efficient, then many of the learning issues are taken care of because we work at the "root level" of many learning disabilities or difficulties.
Our purpose in offering the screening service is to raise the awareness of how to enhance learning abilities for any age through The Little Giant Steps Neurodevelopmental and Neuro-educational Approach. For this reason, we are offering our screening service for a nominal fee of $20.00 for ONE person per family. The information available through the website and seminar can educate parents on how to screen their other children and offer practical tips to improve learning. Children, teens, and adults with learning challenges or labels like ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, or dysgraphia are encouraged to be screened.
There is help and hope for all learning challenges including sensory issues and syndromes, but this screening service is not designed to address this level of involvement. Please explore our free resources on the website or call our office (972-758-1260) for more information on how we can support you. www.littlegiantsteps.com.
