Serving God Together!

Within Growing Healthy Churches there m
any churches, new and seasoned, who are active vessels for Jesus Christ.

We encourage each other because we know we are not alone in our Kingdom mission.  We praise and thank God for each of you, as examples of Christ in your community and beyond.

We are also thankful for your continual support that has helped to not only plant churches in GHC, but has also
helped to minister to existing congregations as well.

In Him,

"The Declaration
Take the city, the nation, and the world for The Kingdom.

'But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.'  Ephesians 4:7 (KJV)

Dr. Preston T. Adams, III and Amazing Grace Christian Church, a new church plant, celebrated their first anniversary in September 2011.

One of the many things Amazing Grace embodies through the  love of Jesus Christ is its focus on Outreach to the Community.  'Our mission is to continually labor outside the walls of the church, telling others about the Amazing Grace of Jesus Christ, and showing people that we care about them. We can do this best by serving.'"

FREE LAUNDRY DAY!
FREE LAUNDRY DAY!

"We believe that a Christ follower is growing in three directions in their walk with God in order to become all God made us to be.  We call this our Directional DNA.  All that we do at Catalyst is designed to help people far from God find life in Jesus Christ by creating a culture of movement and growth.

Our Directional DNA permeates every life stage ministry at Catalyst.  Its our goal to help each person move upward, forward, and outward in their walk with God.

  • upward - we are made to honor God
  • forward - we are made to pursue Christ-likeness
  • outward - we are made to love and serve others

One example of how Catalyst is living out their purpose ... On October 23rd Catalyst shut down it's regular weekend services to participate in a Sunday of Service in their communities. From 9-12am they descended on 6 laundromats covering Ventura and Santa Paula blessing their community with free laundry.

Our goal as a Christian community must always be to honor God, to follow the way of Jesus, and to love and serve all.

In this way, we seek to make the gospel relevant to those that find it irrelevant (1 Corinthians 9:22, Matthew 28:19-20), to have a solid Biblical foundation (1 Timothy 4:16; Titus 1:9, 2:1), to love one another (John 13:34), and to avoid unnecessary divisions (1 Corinthians 1:10, 12:25; Titus 3:10).

50% of the church participated and did 350 loads of laundry!"

First Baptist Church - Stockton, CA

Helping people take their next step in knowing Jesus
and making Him known

FBC of Stockton, CA is mission minded!  They've supported local, national and international missions for over 100 years.  One particular thing they are passionate about is putting what they believe into action.  "And for Pastor Jim Dunn the call to a global ministry has always been part of his call to ministry. He has built churches and schools in Haiti, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica and Alaska. He has traveled to Israel; worked with the Hopi Indians and helped develop a number of new churches in Northern California.

At First Baptist we believe in living out the Great Commission by taking the love of Christ to people throughout the world. We accomplish this approach through support of long term missionaries and through short term mission trips.

We also believe that before we go to another country to do God's work, there is a lot for us to do here in Stockton. We have many on-going projects ranging from serving the homeless a hot breakfast to partnering with local churches for Serve Our Stockton Day. "

Thanksgiving Outreach at
Cleveland Elementary,
Stockton, CA
This Thanksgiving FBC partnered with various Elementary Schools in Stockton to put on a Thanksgiving meal. This entire event was prepared and provided by 1,000 FBC members. 420 of these members were able to serve on Thanksgiving Day a meal to 825 families in the cafeterias of schools and shelters in the Stockton Area. Not only did people receive a Thanksgiving meal but FBC provided activities for the children like games and crafts.  600 large bags of clothing and 320 'Love Boxes' containing non-perishable food staples were also distributed

FBC didn't stop there, they connected with another local church and supplied additional food for 100 people, 80 'Love Boxes' for a migrant camp, and every Saturday morning they feed 400 people breakfast through a local mission. God is using His church to be a light in the community!

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
Matthew 25:35-36

Flip-flops for Afghan kids

"Flipside exists to help people take the next right spiritual and practical step in growing and showing love to God and love to others.  Matthew 22:34-39

Our 'Fusion Groups' are the place where faith and practice, where friendships with others, where learning and lifestyle are Fused Together.

The context for everything at Flipside is Scandalous Grace. We want to be as Grace-filled with each other as God has already been to us... His grace covers everything.

One way Flipside is putting their faith into practice is by providing flip-flops for the people of Afghanistan who are in such need that they walk the dusty street with NO shoes at ALL!!!! With the help of our own Jonathan Ginn, Flipside's active duty Marine, we will be collecting flip-flops for the entire month of June for Jon to hand out while he is serving in Afghanistan!"
