October is Child Abuse Prevention Month
A campaign is held every year in many communities across Ontario during the month of October. This year, the CAS of Ottawa hopes to distribute over 20,000 Use Your Voice buttons throughout our community during the month of October. The City of Ottawa will be declaring Friday, October 12, 2007 as Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Day. Once again, the campaign theme is "abused children don't have a voice...give them one." The Communications Office is printing new posters and will be mailing copies along with the new Buttons to community organizations. For more information about the campaign or to order campaign material please contact Diane Ciravolo, Community Capacity Coordinator at (613) 747-7800 ext. 2680. |

The rally will be followed by a march in the streets, and an interactive info fair at Ottawa City Hall at 7:45 pm. Refreshments will be served at City Hall following the rally, and march.
