| This Week at MissionWay... |
 When Jesus was severely criticized for healing a lame man on the Sabbath he responded by saying "My Father is always at his work...and I, too, am working...because whatever the Father does, the Son also does." (John 5:17&19). In these reactionary words of Jesus is a profound spiritual principle: God is at work in the world, and He invites us to become one with Him in that work. Talk about momentum! Join us Sunday as we conclude the series "Momentum" by discovering what it means to join God in His work. To help us continue gaining momentum in our lives, this Sunday will be our "everyone in worship" service. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to join us for this special service as we make important commitments to help us grow and gain momentum. We'll see you there! |

On Sunday Pastor Ron taught about the importance of gaining and maintaining momentum in our lives, especially in our relationships. We learned about the importance of connecting with the people in our lives through providing encouragement, praying for others, and having intentional spiritual conversations. We all have people in our lives who are struggling, dealing with hardships, or just need someone to listen.
We hope that you will take some time out this week to consider what God is saying to you about making commitments to build momentum your relationships.

God has been doing amazing things at MissionWay! He has blessed us by sending many new people our way. If you are new to MissionWay and have a desire to step deeper into ministry, come to the Participating Member Class on Sunday, February 8, 4:30-6 p.m., at the MissionWay Office. | Discovering God's Way of Handling Money |
Do you struggle with managing your personal finances? Ever wonder if there is a better way to handle your money? Tried searching the Bible for answers to your financial dilemmas? The Bible is full of guidance about money, debt and personal finance. Take advantage of a Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University workshop, which teaches biblically based accountability curriculum on how to manage God's money and resources in a godly way. It will empower you to make financial decisions that achieve your financial goals, teaching you to eliminate debt, build wealth, and give generously. This 13-week workshop will begin Sunday, Feb. 15, 3:30-5:30 p.m., at the MissionWay Office. Matt Kramer and Pastor Ron will be the facilitators. The cost for the book is $98*. This is a small amount to pay when "on average, families reduce their debt by $5,300 and save $2,700 in just 91 days." We are also looking for several volunteers who could help with the workshops. | 2009 International Missions Trip |
 What has God been saying to you about praying, giving, going or sending? We are planning a trip to serve in Ethiopia this year and hope you will consider how you can be a part of reaching the nations with Christ's love.
Costa Rica: "Serving and Surfing" trip in May, led by Pastor Ron; reconnect with Pastor Jorge and his church, study scripture, and enjoy the Costa Rica surf!
Ethiopia: Fall trip (date TBD); led by Shannon Palmer and Matt/Jamie Wilbanks; serve at Destiny Academy and participate in a gospel distribution project. Contact Matt Wilbanks to learn more about serving in Ethiopia. | |
