Expressing Generosity
Real Treasure
The scripture teaches that, as human beings, we are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). His nature is the template for our soul. The prominent characteristic of God is generosity. John 3:16 states it best, "For God so loved the world that He gave..." This is why it feels so good when we give. By appropriately expressing generosity, we become like God and take steps toward becoming the person He created us to be. Join us Sunday as we conclude the series Real Treasure: Real Faith by discovering how to become generous people.
MissionWay's 2009 Financial Plan
At 9am this Sunday we will have an informational meeting where you can get more information about MissionWay's 2009 ministry priorities and financial plan. Then in our worship service, everyone will be given the opportunity to make personal commitments to support the work that God has called us to do.

The Christmas Store
The Help-Up Approach to Giving
This holiday season we are reaching out to families in need in our community by operating "The Christmas Store". This store will allow families to purchase Christmas gifts for a fraction of the item's original price. This "help-up" as opposed to a "hand-out" approach offers a fresh way for MissionWay members to share in the joy of giving while preserving the self-respect and dignity of those in need.
 
We will serve the families at The Oaks Apartments through this venue. The parents of the children must come to The Christmas Store to select gifts for their kids. We are collecting gifts and monetary donations to meet this goal. We are also in need of volunteers to help make operating The Christmas Store possible. Please pray about how the Lord would like to use you this year to serve our community through The Christmas Store!  We will share more details next Sunday about how you can be involved.
