"Your Community reflects back to you who you are and so the gifts you see in them are also present in you." ~Noelle Remington, SoulCollage® Facilitator  The Community Suit in the SoulCollage® deck honors "those beings, that impact your personal story with their special energy." Seena Frost, the Founder of SoulCollage® in her latest book, SoulCollage® Evolving, explains: Our community is a continual shaping presence in our Souls. These cards will be collaged with images of, and symbols, for, historical people and pets in your immediate and extended community. These beings offer the "net" of their love and wisdom, but also may "net" you with their demands and challenges. They are guides, allies, and challengers. Select your Community Neters from ancestors, family, friends, teachers, healers, even pets. You may know these beings personally, or you may know them through their art, writing, or special deed. Making a List For Yourself - Here are some questions that can help you start. Jot down the answers quickly and without a lot of thought. ● List fifteen people who feel very significant in your life ● Name three ancestors whose energy or personality traits you have inherited. ● Name some pets that have been precious to you in your life. ● Name five people to be marooned with on a desert island. ● Name two actual physical places where you love to go, places with special healing or uplifting energy. Creating these Cards: The cards in the Community suit are the most intentional of the SoulCollage® cards, meaning that you might not just browse through magazines letting your unconscious choose images. Rather you will have an intention to create a Community card for someone who may be on your list. There is no need to represent every quality or interest of a person. Simply, their picture carefully cut out and put on a new background, with a couple of supporting images will be good reminders of their energy. On the other hand, sometimes an image you find spontaneously will just jump off the page as a way to image someone important to you and then you tear it out and make the card!
