A week from tomorrow you have one of the greatest marketing opportunities EVER!

It's all about love.

Back in the day at Stoneham & Sr High School the student council knew what a great marketing opportunity Valentine's day could be. They made some serious dough re mi off of L-O-V-E.

The week before Valentine's day they sold white, pink and red carnations for 50 cents a piece. The carnations were delivered to the recipient during classes on the 14th.

Of course if you got any, you carried them around with you all day just to show everyone how loved you were! (I knew some "master marketers", who bought them for themselves!")

Who doesn't like a little (or lot of) public reinforcement of how loved they are?

Ever been to a surprise party, see a skywriter write "Marry me?" in the sky or witness someone's reaction when they get flowers at work?

Short and Sweet Valentine's Day tips
heart

Patient care? Send your referral sources heart shaped cookies with a little note that says how much you love taking care of their patients.

Vendor? Send candy out with all your Valentine's week orders. Love doing business with you!

Prosthetist? Offer heart shaped "tattoos" for your amputee patients' prostheses. (I'd let the media know about that - what a great visual and a fun story.)

Anyone? Everyone? Send your customers, sales reps, newsletter readers, patients, employees or employer an e-card from Hallmark.
