I am in Utah for the PrimeFare West meeting (and chilling out at the Homestead Resort with my kids since it's school vacation week in CT.)

We're doing some skiing; swimming in a 10,000 year old crater and since today is spa day so, let's cut to the chase.

Lenses on the web.

What is a lens?

Why do you need one (or two or ten)? (Hint - it helps you make money!)

Do you Squidoo? I do...and you should, too! It works.

What is a lens?

A lens is a single web page that can point to blogs (your blog), favorite links, RSS feeds, Flickr photos, Google maps, eBay auctions, CafePress designs, Amazon books or music, websites (your website) and more.

Then, when someone is looking for recommended information, fast, your lens gets them started and sends him/her off in the right direction.

It's a place for searchers to start, not finish.
It's a driver.
(Come on! Forget about driving Miss Daisy and start driving that traffic to your website!)

If you are in business, you can utilize a lens as one of your most cost-effective marketing tools.

A lens will help you:

  1. Share your knowledge
  2. Increase your profile
  3. Increase your traffic
  4. All of which boosts your online presence
  5. and it can even earn royalties for you, your organization, or your favorite charity
If you don't have one, call me 860-967-4184 and we can talk about how to make a lens work for you.
