Kitsap Sun's Michael Moore writes "...in 2011, BPA met and exceeded expectations all year long, cementing dominant status for the year with a pair of drop-dead gorgeous musicals, CHICAGO in the spring and CATS in the fall. Both, not coincidentally, were directed by Steven Fogell."

Regarding CATS, Moore wrote, "...take in the eye-catching visuals (set by Fogell, costumes by John Allbritton, lighting by Sara Torres), the impressive, rock-to-opera parade of vocal performances (directed by Chris Kolbegger) and the extensive and breathtaking dance and movement (choreographed by Kiplinn Sagmiller), and I think you'll find that it all adds up to one of the most satisfying, senses-filling evenings of theater you could hope to experience without hopping a boat and hoofing up to one of the big showbarns in Seattle."
