Making Our Voices Heard

November, 2008

The first Thanksgiving was  held in the autumn of 1621 by the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag to celebrate the colony's first successful harvest. Three hundred eighty-seven years later, we continue to celebrate this day with a  feast and giving thanks for our many blessings.

We want to use this month's newsletter to do just that...  No, we are not cooking for you, but we are very grateful for all that you do and...

As our newly elected officials prepare to take office, we want to thank them for making healthcare a priority.

Many thanks to the scientists that continue their efforts to discover more effective treatments and means of risk reduction.

Thank you to our healthcare providers that see us as more than someone with breast cancer.

Mega thanks to our family and friends, who continue to support our efforts.

And  of course, THANK YOU for adding your voice to ours.

We know that 2009 will be a year of many changes, it is very reassuring to know you will be with us as we continue to advocate for research funding, access to quality healthcare and the fastest path to ending the devastation of breast cancer.

Enjoy the holiday.  May your football teams win and your dinner be tasty.

until next time....
