What is Mesotherapy? |
Mesotherapy (Meso-Slim® ) is a technique where a cocktail of fat-emulsifying medications, that natural occur in our body, are injected into the mesoderm (the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin).
Mesotherapy is used for a variety of purposes, including weight loss, spot weight reduction and cellulite reduction.
Dr. Ataii offers two types of Mesotherapy. Meso-Fat® for weight loss and Meso-Cellulite® for cellulite reduction.
The fat-emulsifying medications that are used in Meso-Fat®
melt the fat beneath the skin and shrink the fat cells in the scarpa's fascia layer. As the fat dissolves, it is carried through the lymphatics and excreted by kidneys, liver and bowel.
Cellulite is caused by connective tissue bands that hold down the skin, trapping the fat and thereby causing the "dimpling" or "orange peel" effect. The medications used in Meso-Cellulite® can help destroy the connective tissue bands and melt the trapped fat, creating a smooth, dimple-free appearance.

What is Smartlipo®?
|
 SmartLipo® is a remarkable method for removing unwanted body fat through a low-pain, highly efficient process.
Instead of the bulky tubes and uncomfortable office visits required of traditional liposuction, SmartLipo® (laser-assisted liposuction)utilizes smaller instruments and specialized technology to zap fat cells for contouring and reshaping areas of the body including the abdomen, love handles, backs, thighs, hips, knees, arms, neck, and chin.
Through a special laser similar to that used in cataract surgery, fat cells are targeted which literally dissolves the cells on contact. A gentle suction then massages the dissolved fat out of the body. A very small percentage is retained, absorbed into the body, and excreted as waste within 24 hours.
Many features set SmartLipo® apart from traditional liposuction such as length of visits, comfort, recovery time, and reduced scarring and bruising. Traditional liposuction requires about 10-14 days of downtime post-procedure, general anesthesia, additional surgical procedures to touch up what the liposuction cannot achieve, stitches, six week compression garment, and an unpleasant tube that vacuums out fat. SmartLipo®, on the other hand, uses local anesthesia, small lasers and cannulas for fat removal, leaves little to no scarring and requires no stitches, only two days of down time and only two weeks for compression garments.
SmartLipo® is not for everyone and only a consultation with a Dr. Ataii will enable you to decide whether you want to have SmartLipo® done.
