There are several options we offer at Laser Cliniqúe for all types of acne, whether it is cystic or pustular. Depending on your skin type and the severity of the acne, will determine what treatment will work the best for you.

Photodynamic Therapy |
 Photodynamic therapy, also known as PDT, is a special treatment performed with a topical photosensitizing agent called Levulan (5-Aminolevulinic Acid or ALA). This chemical is activated with the correct wavelength of light, such as the BLU-U in order to eradicate moderate to severe acne. This is also known as "ALA/PDT treatment". Levulan is a 20% solution of Aminolevulinic Acid (ALA). ALA is a natural substance found throughout your body, as a precursor for hemoglobin synthesis. You would be unable to make red blood cells to carry oxygen without ALA in your body. Consequently, it is a "natural" product found in all humans. The ALA/PDT treatment also has the unique ability to minimize pores and reduce oil glands, effectively treating stubborn acne vulgaris, acne rosacea, and improve the appearance of some acne scars. |

BLU-U Light Therapy |
 BLU-U light therapy involves the use of visible blue wavelengths of light that create a toxic environment inside the pore and kills the acne causing bacteria. It is used to treat active lesions and helps prevent dormant glands from becoming active lesions. Without the P. acnes bacteria present, and allowed to grow, inflammation diminishes and acne clears up. This treatment is especially helpful for teenage acne. |

Vibradermabrasion |
 Vibradermabrasion is a method of helping to physically remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and reduce pore size and acne. It is especially effective for comedones (blackheads).
Depending upon your individual needs, Vibradermabrasion can be performed from once or twice a month. This procedure can be done by itself or in conjunction with BLU-U, Photodynamic Therapy and/or combined with a facial. |

 In treating ALL acne, the first step is making sure you have the appropriate skin care. Your skin care regime will help reduce acne and maintain your skin after proper treatments.

Clear Cleanse- This cleanser offers the combination of 2% Glycolic Acid and 2% Salicylic Acid to exfoliate, deep cleanse and to prevent comedonal acne (black heads).
Acne Clearing Pads - This simple to use pad, delivers the ultra pure, exfoliating benefits of glycolic acid 5% in combination with the proven keratolytic ingredient, 2% salicylic acid.
Green Tea Retinol Therapy - This serum which contains Retinol, Green Tea Polyphenols and Hyaluronic acid assists in achieving smoother, firmer and more evenly toned skin. Along with removing superficial skin pigmentation, Retinol helps fight acne and blemishes.
Acne Spot Rx Gel - This gel contains 5% benzoyl peroxide to deliver proven antibacterial benefits in the treatment of mild to moderate acne.
