IACED sent out membership renewal invoices on November 10, 2010. Please contact Tommy Tabor if your organization did not receive a renewal invoice or you have questions regarding your current membership status. All members and potential members should note that the following deadlines are in place for membership benefits:

Action Alert: Support the Job Creation and Tax Cuts Act of 2010 (S. 3793)
Let Indiana's Senators know how important the affordable housing and community development provisions contained in this legislation are to IACED members and Hoosier communities.
- A one-year extension (through 2010) of the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program with the ability to take the NMTC against alternative minimum tax (AMT) liability (through January 1, 2012);
- The $1 billion initial capitalization of the National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) and $65 million in project-based rental assistance to accompany NHTF units; and
- A one-year extension (through 2010) of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) exchange program.

Senator Max Baucus Will Introduce Legislation to Repeal the Requirement for Additional IRS 1099 Filings Senator Max Baucus, chairman of the chamber's Finance Committee, announced recently he will introduce legislation in the lame duck Congress to repeal the portion of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which requires filing additional IRS 1099 forms. This provision of the new health care law could be a compliance burden to IACED members.
