Kids Who Care - Creating Tomorrow's Corporate & Community Leaders
This summer, over 100 students will serve as leaders during Kids Who Care's summer musical theatre camps.
Every leader selected for the Summer KidPower Team - interns, apprentices, student staff (16+) and university level camp staff - will receive one week of leadership training, using Kids Who Care's proprietary team-building and leadership training methodology, called KidPower Leadership Training. Kids Who Care's adult staff and board are trained each year using the same model.
The Kids Who Care leadership training includes:
- Verve - The Five Points of Power
- The Kids Who Care Culture
- Kids Who Care Founding Principles
- Goals to Action to Jobs
- Skills, Games, Warm-ups, Ensemble
- Workshop of Production
- Leadership Logistics
Additionally, ALL kids on the Kids Who Care summer leadership team raise funds for summer student staff stipends.
This year, the Summer KidPower Team's goal is $35,000. Last year, their goal was $25,000, and they raised $30,331! The kids do ALL of this fundraising themselves, from planning to execution.
