KWC's Deborah Jung Co-Authors Book

May 17 Book Release Celebration!

Angels at My Door, story by Deborah JungKids Who Care's founder and executive director, Deborah Jung, has co-authored a book that will be released May 17th during a Book Release Celebration at the Fort Worth Central Library.

The first book of its kinds in the United States, Angels at My Door is written by Deborah and Fort Worth children touched by HIV/AIDS.

To write the book, children gathered during a three-day creativity camp led by Deborah. Then she created a story that weaves the children's writings and artwork into a book about the graces that have emerged from their courage and hope. Artwork by students in the Fort Worth Independent School District (ISD) is also included in the book.

Kids Who Care...Going Green...and Staying Green!

Earth and Soul Musical to Stay in Rep for 08-09 Season

e and s logoKids Who Care's Earth and Soul: A Musical Revolution will stay in rep during the Resident Company's 2008-2009 season (in addition to Deep in the Heart and a new musical production in the works!).

This original work premiered in July 2007, when 200+ American and 52 international youth joined together to create a musical about taking care of the earth and taking care of each other.

During the Resident Company's 07-08 season, they have performed pieces of this musical all over Dallas/Fort Worth and at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. This Spring, they also performed at several "Go Green" events, including Garland Goes Green and North Richland Hill's inaugural Discover: Project Green event.
