  • Cute Card and Altered Library Pocket!
  • Instructions: Cut Cardstock down to 5 1/2 in. X 8 1/2 in. for the base of the card.. Fold cardstock in half and add patterned paper to the front of the card. (4 1/4 in.)

Round the two corners on the right with a corner rounder.

Cut two strips of patterned paper for the left side of the card. The strips I used were approximately 1/3 in. X 5 1/2 in. and 3/4 in. X 5 1/2 in. Add strips to the card.

Ink the edges of the pocket and add it to the center of the front of the card.

Choose a tag from the sheet of cardstock tags, ink the edges, stamp "Thank You", and adhere it to the front of the pocket.

Cut a tag from another sheet of patterned paper to fit inside of the pocket. My tag is 3 1/4 in. X 5 in.

Cut a large paper flower in half and add it to the top of the tag. Add ribbon to the "center" of the flower.

Stamp "Pull" on the top of the tag, so it shows when the tag is inside of the pocket and stamp your sentiment on the bottom part of the tag.

  • How'd You Create that Layout?
  • Designer: Shelly Boyd, Classy Coach This is one of my favorite photos of Meganne on her first day of 1st grade. I love the first day of school. It's so full of promise and the beginning of so many new things. I also loved, loved, loved that these papers matched what she was wearing that day PERFECTLY LOL!

Supplies: 1 Sheet Daisy Bucket Sweet Marabella (Stella), 1 Sheet Daisy Bucket Sweet Marabella (Sophia), 1 White library pocket, Sweet Marabella Tag Elements , 1 3-1/2 x 5 photo. Miscellaneous Supplies: Metal photo corner, Metal butterfly embellishment, white lace or ribbon, "Today" stamp, white cardstock and green distress ink.

Instructions: Place photo approximately 4 inches from the top and 1-3/4 inches from the right side on Sophia (brown floral) patterned paper. Add photo corners to top left and bottom right of photo.

Cut a 6 x 5 inch piece of the Stella (orange polka dot) patterned paper and then tear approximately 1/2 inch from the 6 inch side of the paper. Align and adhere the orange patterned paper to the left side of the photo.

Tie ribbons to photo anchors from tag elements sheet and adhere to top left of orange patterned paper. Adhere lace or ribbon along the bottom of the orange paper and photo. Adhere the library pocket overlapping the orange patterned paper and the photo.

Cut a piece of white cardstock that will fit in the library pocket (approximately 4-3/4" x 3-1/4"). Round the corners, ink the edges and write journaling on the white cardstock and attach one of the tag elements to the top of the white cardstock tag.

Stamp, print, use rub-ons or stickers for the title using one of the tag elements and adhere to the front of the library pocket.

Finish by adding a metal embellishement to the left of the title. Note: If you do not have the metal photo corner (I just like to mix things up a bit or I would have used the other one that came with the kit) or the metal butterfly embellishment it would be easy to substitute a die cut heart or other shape to the left of the title. Just use what you have and make this layout your own. I'd love to see your take on this :)

    Designer: Becca Huber, Classy Coach

Using Garden Gate Collection, cut 7 tear drop shaped flower petals from a variet of papers. You can get 5 different petals from the sheet of Bellflower paper. You will need 2 strips of 12" paper from the Bellflower paper, one 1 3/4" wide and the other 2 1/8" wide, so cut carefully.

Mat a photo on white cardstock. Mat again on medium brown, with a 3/8" edge. Add 2 photo corners and a photo turn from the tag elements sheet. The photo turn is attached with a brad. Also add a piece of blue ribbon.

Fit your 7 petals on dark brown cardstock in the upper right corner. In the center of this flower, add a flower from the tag elements sheet and mat on burgundy cardstock.

Add the12" burgundy paper strips. The horizontal strip is 1 3/8" from the bottom of the page. The vertical one is 2" from the right edge.

Add a bookplate and a tag from the tag elements sheet. Attach with brads.

My title was cut with the Cricut Design Studio software and Cursive 101 cartridge.
