  • Sweet Treats!
  • I made two of these for teachers gifts this year. It was a simple and quick gift idea. I hope they are really going to like them and I hope you do to.

Supplies: 1 6-1/2 x 8 Piece of Chipboard, 1 Sheet of Diagonal Striped Patterned Paper, 1 Sheet of Swirled Heart Patterned Paper, 1 Sheet of Light Blue Patterned Paper, 1 Sticker, 1 Yard of Brown Ribbon, Misc: 1 Sheet of Blue Cardstock, Small Credit Card Size Calendar, Large Date Stamp or Stickers, 1 Pen, 1 Button, 2 Brads.

Instructions: Print a calendar from your favorite desktop publishing application, cut and stack the months in order. Cut a piece of Chipboard 6-1/2 x 8 inches and round the corners. Cut a piece of blue cardstock the same size as the chipboard and adhere the cardstock to the chipboard. Cut a 5-1/2 x 2-1/2 inch piece of the diagonal striped patterned paper, a 5-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of the swirled heart patterned paper.

Punch two holes in the stack of calendar months and attach to the center of the swirled heart paper with the two brads. Center the striped paper approximately 1/2 inch from the top of the blue cardstock and adhere.

Attach the swirled heart paper to the bottom of the striped patterned paper. Attach a piece of the brown ribbon to the seam of the two patterned papers and loop the end and staple so that it will hold the pen. Wrap a small piece of the light blue patterned paper around the pen and adhere.

Place the sticker on the right side and middle of the seam. Write "time passes, love endures" on the sticker and adhere a button to the top of the sticker. Now you can stamp or use stickers for the year at the top of the calendar for the year. I used American Crafts Thickers for this one. Punch two holes near the top of the chipboard and thread a length of the ribbon through the two holes. Tie the ends on the back of the chipboard so that you can't see the knots.

Finally, I tied a bow on the left side of the ribbon hanger.

  • Designer: Becca Huber, Classy Coach

Begin with a cardstock background. Cut one patterned paper 8" x 11 1/4" and mat on dark green or navy cardstock. Cut another patterned paper 3 1/2" x 11 5/8" and mat on a 12" strip of dark green or navy cardstock. .

Mat 2 photos on coordinating light cardstock and then on dark green or navy cardstock. Cut or punch out 3 circles, 1 1/2" in diameter, from the floral patterned paper. Mat these on a 1 5/8" x 4 1/2" strip of dark green or navy cardstock.

Adhere the big piece of matted patterned paper to your background. It is 1/2" from the left edge and centered vertically. Adhere the smaller, long matted piece 4 1/2" from the top of the page. Adhere the matted photos 5/8" from the top of the page. Adhere the matted circle flowers in the space at the upper right. Add a ribbon bow below the circles.

Add your title in the space on the right. Add your journaling under the photo. Use a sticker at the lower right. Use an arrow to highlight some part of your photos
