Meet Our Managers
This month, we feature Faramarz (Fred) Tehrani, manager of our Los Angeles location, with FSS since 1981.
Hot product in your store right now? Wooden boxes and hanging crystals
(bling!) have been very popular, especially in tandem with submersible lights. Our customers have also used our jeweled fabrics to add creativity to their designs.
Most memorable customer quote? I am proud to say that I often receive compliments from our customers on how our store is well organized and clean.
Favorite holiday? I truly enjoy Thanksgiving, even though my wife and I work hard to prepare food for up to 28 people!
How do you relax on the weekends? In addition to playing volleyball on Saturdays, I have recently been thrilled to get into bicycle riding on Sundays. Last year I participated with 2500 others in a benefit ride for Multiple
Sclerosis, covering over 100 miles from Irvine to San Diego. I will be riding for MS again this year on October 1-2.
Favorite vacation spot? I really enjoy the beauty of nature and prefer to spend my vacations outdoors, but not always on my road bike. I also enjoy cooking, mostly Persian food. It is a great escape and helps you forget about all your problems. One of my dreams is to travel to Africa to see native animals in the wild.
