LAB5 High5
Enchante Greer
Started at LAB5: May 17, 2012. A friend referred me, and I've been hooked ever since!
 | | Lafvonne & Enchante Greer |
Favorite workout move: At the moment I'm really enjoying TRX. On the reformer, I love to do Spider Lunges.
Hobbies: I enjoy vacationing. I love to cruise with my family--my favorite spots are Hawaii, South Beach, and the South of France. But, I'm heading to Brazil next month, so I might have a new favorite! I also enjoy shopping, watching movies, and spending time with friends and my adorable nieces.
Pets: My dogs, Mercedes and Bentley, are pretty spoiled. When they are not enjoying Kosher beef, they are munching on fruit.
Anything else you'd like to share? What I like about LAB5 is that it is a place where my Mom and I can both hang out and get fit. GO TEAM GREER!!

LAB5 Fitness Fix
Fonda Returns to Kayaking
Situation: Fonda used to love kayaking, and did it for many years. Though as she aged, she lost core strength, endurance, and some of her flexibility. It had been about 9 years since she had been kayaking, and at age 70 she desperately missed the activity.
Solution: Fonda recently returned from a 3 day kayaking adventure in the San Juans. Not only did she have a blast, but she felt not soreness, and felt very comfortable in the water. She happened to be the most senior gal there, but kept up with the guide and even inspired him to want to be as agile, and strong as she is. Fonda is a model example that dedication to fitness pays off and can improve your lifestyle drastically. Through the workouts at LAB5 Fonda has gained back the ability to do what she loves---and we love that.
Congratulations Fonda! Keep up the hard work!

High Fiber FoodsLegumes, Whole Grains, Fruits & Veggies The active ingredients in beans that scientists believe may play a role in cancer prevention include: saponins, protease inhibitors and phytic acid. These compounds, called phytochemicals, are found naturally in plants and appear to protect our cells from damage that can lead to cancer. Allium Family VeggiesOnions, Garlic, Chives, Leeks, Shallots, Scallions These allium vegetables contain many substances now being studied for their anti-cancer effects, such as quercetin, allixin and a large group of organosulfur compounds that includes allicin, alliin and allyl sulfides. The 7 Hidden Secrets Most Doctors Pray You'll Never Find Out About
1. Supplements are not a waste of money but the right ones really work.
2. It's not the total cholesterol number that is most important but the size that matters most.
3. Your blood profile is more important than your weight.
4. The quality of what you eat makes a huge difference in your overall health.
5. It's always about the money. Watch out for the food manufactures and drug companies.
6. It's not just eat less and move more. You have to eat and exercise right.
7. Always get a second opinion before you have surgery. Nobody is always right.
From our personal experience the above principles are important to us. We are not doctors or nutritionist but have found these seven principles so important for our overall well being. Please let us know if we can answer any questions or help in anyway. Thank you!
