About this Workshop:
National quality improvement programs that use HIT to automate measurement and benchmark IT have propelled organizations to new levels of quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The presentation will focus on how information and best practice sharing, along with measureable goals and transparent results, enable organizations to drive performance and implement essential health care reforms.

The presentation will provide practical examples and tips for leveraging HIT to improve clinical care and outcomes. It will include an orientation to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, its strategic aims and how it gets results. Additionally, a framework for using quality and systems approaches to achieve Meaningful Use will be presented.  

The lecture will be followed by a tour of Arrowhead Health, where Dr. Janice Johnston and Dr. David Berg will provide a snapshot of how they are using HIT to improve patient outcomes in their practice.
