Greetings!

Autumn always feels like a time of renewal to me - the crisp, cool air after the heat of summer, the return to school and new adventures in learning.

This year, NELI is birthing a new website (www.brynmawr.edu/neli), a new certificate program for Ascending Leaders, and this new e-newsletter!

Take a look at the new website for the details on the new Ascending Leadership Certificate - applications are due November 22nd.

Feel free to send in your organizational events for the Community Calendar. We're also holding two Alumni special events in late fall.  Check out all the news below and please forward this newsletter to friends you think may be interested in our programs.

Sincerely,
Margie DuBrow

Ascending Leaders On The Rise:
New Certificate Launches in January

Acesending LeadersFor Francine Axler and Jennifer Barnhart, the only problem with the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate program is that it didn't come earlier in their careers.

Axler, a senior research associate at the Philadelphia Health Management Corporation, worked at her agency for 21 years when she entered the program this year. Barnhart, director of Home and Community Based services at Liberty Resources, Inc., worked with non-profits since 1998.

Both say they would have liked the chance to participate in the new Nonprofit Ascending Leadership Certificate  program starting in January. "It would have been great to have had something like this at an earlier stage," Axler said.
