Season's Greetings from our team, and we look forward to continually working with you in the coming year.

Carolyn Abbott, Director - Marketing Communications

CEO's Corner - Gerry Kobelski

Since our September newsletter, the entire team has been extremely busy achieving measured progress in all our disciplines and expanding our operations.

Corporately we have continued to secure Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with additional business and technology partners so we can collaborate and participate with them on future contracts. We have also signed Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with other business entities in anticipation of signing MOUs with them to increase our collaboration and partnership opportunities.

In an attempt to expand our sphere of influence, all team members have reached out to former colleagues and business acquaintances to continue to build a network that can help to expose our services in the marketplace.

Having successfully come through our initial implementation of the business, we have been formally open for business for a full quarter. Our focus has now shifted from the initial build out and proof of concept stage to aggressive expansion of our sales and marketing efforts. Our team is now directly negotiating with prospects for ongoing revenue.

  • We are about to finalize a contract with the NH Division of Forest and Lands for a contract to collect and analyze video data to help them monitor the state's 4.8 million acres of forest. (See the Sales & Marketing update, below.)

  • We are working with multiple agencies within the State of NH to define requirements for a statewide, blanket contract that will cover our services for support to the state's law enforcement, homeland security, fish and game, environmental services and transportation agencies and departments.

  • We continue to have meaningful discussions with utility companies within NH and expect to have signed agreements by the end of the calendar year to support them in assessing storm damage and surveillance of their infrastructure.

Operationally, our Operations Center has been fully built out and is now functional. Most importantly, we have successfully achieved the ability to stream video and infrared images in real time directly from our aircraft and have demonstrated that capability to several prospects via laptops and PDAs.

All in all, the past few months have been extremely productive, and we are looking forward to making even better progress in the coming year.

Sales & Marketing Update - David Trahan, Director

David Trahan

The ASSIST-U.S.® Sales and Marketing team is happy to announce that we are in final negotiations for our first contract.

The State of New Hampshire's Division of Forests and Lands is contracting with ASSIST-U.S. to perform a video survey of the state's 4.8 million acres of forest. The Forest Health Section within the Forest Protection Bureau monitors the condition of those lands.

NH F&L LogoThe videography of the state forests is a new program that enables increased efficiency in the collection of this data and provides an historical record in electronic format, including geospatial information, for future reference and planning.

This initial program will provide footage of a selected area that includes the Pisgah State Forest, the largest state park in New Hampshire. It contains a complete watershed north of the Ashuelot River, seven ponds, four highland ridges, numerous wetlands, and a 20-acre (81,000 sq. mi.) parcel of old-growth forest.
