FROM THE WEST BANK:

ANERA Builds A New School

Teachers and students alike were delighted to enter their brand new school this term in Al-Libban Al Gharbi village. The three-storey building has 11 classrooms, a science and computer lab, an arts and crafts room and a playground to accommodate up to 300 students.

FROM GAZA:

Playground Helps Kids With Autism and Downs Syndrome

The Right to Live Society stands out visually as a large, bright, multicolored structure. But, more importantly, it stands out because of its mission (since 1933), to provide a nurturing learning environment to children with Downs Syndrome and Autism.  With Playgrounds for Palestine, ANERA has installed a welcome addition to RLS' offerings:  a new play space for the children, designed and constructed locally with raw materials from recycled metals available inside of Gaza.

Helping Children Achieve Their Dreams
At seven Amman schools, 600 students are getting the academic support they need to succeed and build a better future.These classes are part of the School Readiness Program for Vulnerable Iraqi and Jordanian Youth, which provides academic support for students seeking to improve their grades and therefore their long-term prospects for staying in school.
