FROM THE WEST BANK:

Brand New School For Beit Ijza
The new Beit Ijza Basic Coeducational School boasts eight classrooms, a science lab, computer lab, school library, administration rooms and sanitation facilities, in addition to a large playground and a shaded area outdoors. The new school will help resolve the shortage of classrooms in Beit Ijza and provide better and healthier educational facilities for students.
ANERA built the school, thanks to USAID funding.  Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayad and Minister of Education were among the dignataries attending the inauguration October 5th. Read more


Combatting Infections in Hebron

Globus Relief's recent donation of Cephalexin antibiotic, distributed by ANERA, has been a tremendous help to the poverty-stricken patients of a medical center located in Hebron.

"Cephalexin 500 mg usually has no side-effects, meaning it is quite safe for pregnant and lactating women, children, and the elderly. It is excellent in cases of inflammation of the windpipe and upper respiratory infections, as well as sinusitis, and some urinary infections," explains Dr. Wael Al-Rajabi.  Read more

Teaching Nutrition with Healthy Snacks

Zakher Preschool has been receiving fortified milk and biscuits for the past four years as a participant of ANERA's Milk for Preschoolers program. The preschool uses the fortified biscuits and milk to help teach the youngsters about hygiene and healthy habits, along with plays, stories and cooking lessons. Read more
