Ringing in the New Year

Looking to celebrate the New Year in style? Then look no further than Champaign County. Indulge in one of the many restaurants located throughout the county and let your taste buds savor the experience as you enjoy the company of those closest to you.  After dinner, enjoy Champaign County nightlife at its finest. With drink specials, live music, and great company, Champaign County will help you ring in the new year with style!

Fond Family Memories

Mark this new year with family memories that will last a lifetime. At Orpheum Children's Science Museum, bid a fond farewell to the outgoing year at Noon Day Drop 2011.  With craft activities, music, crazy hats, noise makers, a parade, a countdown to the big event, and a drop of more than 500 balloons at the strike of noon, you're sure to make memories with your kids. Or challenge yourself to try something different this year with with New Year's Eve Skate at Skateland, where you can enjoy the laughs that come along with mastering the art of roller skating.  For more family fun, head over to Marketplace Mall for Family Fun Fridays where kids can enjoy free entertainment like magicians, balloon artists and face painters, free carousel rides, retailer offers & demonstrations.

Illini Logo Calling All Sports Lovers

Help us cheer on the Illini and bring in the new year at one of the many sporting events in the next coming weeks. With the Illinois Men's Basketball season in full swing, you'll have plenty to cheer about as the Illini take on Nebraska and Ohio State at Assembly Hall. Head over to Huff Hall this weekend to watch Illini Wrestling take on Lock Haven. Also, the Illinois Women's Basketball team will  be competing against Alabama A&M, Michigan, Purdue and Wisconsin.
