OUTSIDE at the Research Park, July 29
Whose feet can resist moving to the bubbling Brazilian backbeats, Appalachian flat-picked melodies, and bluesy riffs of Matuto? Clay Ross' Telecaster and Rob Curto's accordion lilt and samba with sounds forged from Pan-American folk tunes, fiddle music, funky grooves, and marvelous interplay with percussionist Ze Mauricio. Kicking off the night with irrepressible optimism and enchanting romanticism is the ukulele funk of The Duke of Uke and His Novelty Orchestra. And, the Green Fair Recycling Remix features sources for buying products with recycled content, donating your materials for recycling, or processing materials for reuse.
