Ogden Celebration Car & Motorcycle Show, June 11th 
Saturday, June 11th, make your way to the Ogden Business District for the Ogden Celebration Car & Motorcycle Show. The festival starts with breakfast followed by various events, including a car and motorcycle show, a cricket spitting contest and a parade. For more information, call 217-582-2520.

Downtown Champaign Streetfest, June 3rd
Music is in the air with the first Downtown Champaign Streetfest this Saturday, June 3rd. This monthly series of FREE outdoor concerts brings you great bands in lively Downtown Champaign - a great way to spend a summer evening with friends and family. This Saturday from 7pm-Midnight, Country group Levi Riggs and Rock/Blues band Delta Kings will have you dancing in the streets. Come out for a rockin' good time!

Celebrate Summer at the Pines, June 11th "Celebrate Summer at the Pines" welcomes you to kick-off the summer with 100% FREE family fun at The Pines businesses at Windsor and Philo Roads in Urbana. On Saturday, June 11th, from 10:00am to 3:30pm, bring the entire family to enjoy summer fun with free inflatables for the kids, a childrens fashion show, story telling, face painting and live music by "The Lady Bugs". llinois Fire Service Institute Open House, June 10th
The University of Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) will host an Open House on Friday, June 10th as part of its Annual Fire College. The Open House provides an opportunity to step inside the State Fire Academy and witness fire fighting and live rescue demonstrations. The public is invited to attend this FREE event, which goes from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. See firefighters tackle a staged live liquid propane fire, learn how an accident victim is extricated from an automobile and see how quickly fire can spread in an apartment and the value of a smoke detector. The Urbana Fire Department will do a high rise rescue demonstration and youngsters will have the opportunity to help extinguish a fire, using a fire hose. Attendees will also be able to tour IFSI's training ground and talk with firefighter instructors. The Annual Illinois Fire College is the oldest event of its kind in the United States. It is held annually at the Institute's facilities and training grounds and at specialized training locations throughout Champaign-Urbana. More than 650 Illinois firefighters and emergency personnel are registered for this year's Fire College. The Illinois Fire Service Institute is located at 11 Gerty Drive, off south First Street in Champaign.

Museum of the Grand Prairie Garden Concert Series kicks off June 12th
Bring your picnic dinner, blanket or chairs, and join us for the Second Sunday Garden Concert Series in the Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden located behind the Museum of the Grand Prairie. Kicking off Sunday, June 12th, the first concert in the series will feature folk and a cappella group Road Song. Popcorn and lemonade will be on hand as we listen to the sounds of local music and enjoy the beauty of the gardens. Located in Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, 600 N. Lombard, Mahomet.  Historic Aviation Comes to Life, June 9th - 12th
A classic aircraft from the early days of commercial air travel, EAA's restored 1929 Ford Tri-Motor, will be appearing at the Frasca Field Airport in Urbana, IL on Thursday, June 9th through Sunday, June 12th, offering a visit back to aviation's "Golden Age" as part of its 2011 Midwest tour. The event brings the opportunity for aviation and history enthusiasts in the area to see and ride in the world's first mass-produced airliner. The Ford Tri-Motor, nicknamed the "Tin Goose," was built by the Ford Motor Company in the late 1920s and played a major part in the development of safe and reliable air transport in the United States.
