Second Annual Sun-n-Fun Breakfast

50+ Show up for Sun, Fun, & Food!
SAFE members and their guests mingled with
industry partners during the 2nd Annual
Sun-n-Fun Breakfast on Friday, April 16th.
According to SAFE Chair Doug Stewart, "We're
very pleased with the turnout. The energy and
enthusiasm in the tent was wonderful." Those
in attendance included:
- 2010 National Flight Instructor of the
Year, Jeff Moss
- Representatives from Lightspeed Aviation
- Julie Filucci from Cessna Aircraft

- Hal Shevers and other Representatives
from Sporty's
- Many Representatives from the FAA

Tim Campbell Wins Zulu Headset Giveaway!

Communications Quiz was "A Real Tough One"
The drawing for the free Lightspeed Zulu ANR
headset was held at the SAFE booth on Sunday,
April 18th. Winner Tim Campbell is an airline
pilot who lives in Everglades City, FL. Tim
is a new glider instructor and a new member
of SAFE. Congratulations Tim!
To qualify for the giveaway,
participants had to take a 20-question
Communications Quiz, which by all accounts
was very challenging. Special thanks to Lightspeed
Aviation for sponsoring the headset
giveaway as well as the SAFE booth during
Sun-n-Fun!

Many of you have participated in the SAFE
mentoring interest survey already, and news
about its availability has been appearing in
the media as well. The success of the program
that evolves from the results depends on
collecting as much information as possible
from as many aviation educators as possible.
If you have not yet taken the survey, please
consider doing so. We encourage you to
forward the link to the survey (or even this
eNews using the "Forward email" link
below) to other aviation educators as
well: ground and flight instructors,
teachers in academia, maintenance and
avionics educators, etc.
