Dear Members and Guests,

This month is Member Showcase month! Several of our members will present and educate us on their businesses. Come join us for an information packed program and great networking.   Please make your reservation online at RSFBPW.com and use paypal. Reservations will be closed at 5pm the Monday before our meeting.

Thank you to Colleen Hensley, author of Pilot Leadership who presented last month. She reminded us all how important Mastery of Performance is... at the same time being mindful of "Mach One" Followership, the importance of being a good follower and "Center Seat" Leadership, leading where you stand. Colleen suggests that the most challenging times are those when we transition roles, i.e., business owner to mother or social director to daughter of an aging parent. We need to pause between stimulus and response and make very vital choices.

One vital choice is to never treat time as if we have an unlimited supply. Here is a blinding flash of the obvious: we have a finite supply.  Whatever we want to achieve we want to make some progress on today.  Secret word is pumpkins. Let's make sure that we make time to move forward instead of making excuses. Live life by design, not default.

Remember to contact one member that you'd like to get to know better this month. Make some time to get together.   Let's learn from each other, laugh with each other and encourage each other to be our Best Selves. I look forward to seeing you all October 20th.

NOTE:  If you are interested in a board position for the 2012 board please contact Parisa Farokhi by Oct 7.

NOTE: Susan Bateman will be filling in for Betty Potter as the RSVP Chair. All the RSVP info is listed below. Please direct any questions about reservations and lunch to her.

Cheers,

Julia Uhll, President
