Pediatrician and Southborough resident Safdar Medina, M.D., will present a talk for parents and caregivers at the Library on Tuesday, April 3, at 7:00 p.m. The theme for the April session is "Attention Deficit Disorder: Truths and Myths." The talk is free and open to the public - no registration required.

College Financial Aid Night
Attention all parents of high school students! The time to plan for your child's college education for 2013/14 is now. Attend College Financial Aid Night at the Library on Tuesday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. and learn how to simplify the college financial aid process and maximize the amount of aid for your child. Tea and Poetry at the Library Tuesday, April 17, at 4:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, April 17, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., the Southborough Library hosts the Jubilee Chapter of Daughters of the British Empire (DBE) for an afternoon of Tea, Cakes, and Poetry. Please plan to join us for this fun and thought-provoking event and listen to poems read by these British women. It's a hoot! The theme for this year is fashion, finery, and fripperies. All are encouraged to wear their finest spring hats, as there will be prizes.
Tickets are available at the Southborough Library for a suggested donation of $5.00. All proceeds will benefit the Southborough Library Fund and charities of the DBE.

New Friends of the Library Night
The Friends of the Southborough Library seeks new members. This month, we are holding an evening meeting - on Thursday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Library. Come and bring a friend or neighbor. Do you love the Library and want to see its services grow? Do you appreciate all that the Library offers this community? Do you have experience fundraising? Want to get to know other library lovers in the community? Then, plan to be here for this brainstorming, idea-generating session. Refreshments will be served.

A Puppet Show is Coming!
If you like puppet shows and you like to solve riddles, we have the perfect program for you! Sparky's Puppets "The Kingdom of Riddles" puppet show is coming to the Library on Wednesday, April 18, at 2:30 p.m. The audience is an important part of this show because you'll need to solve riddles to help a knight, a king, a queen, and a unicorn. All are welcome to attend. No registration required. This program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Together We Can Family Network.

The First Wednesday Book Group will be making their own selection from the bestseller list and will meet on Wednesday, April 4, 10:00 a.m., at the Library.

The Senior Center Book Group will discuss The Story of Beautiful Girl by Rachel Simon, on Wednesday, April 11, 11:00 a.m., at the Senior Center.
The YA Book Group will discuss Eon by Alison Goodman and Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld on Wednesday, April 11, 6:30 p.m., at the Library. Pizza and soda provided by Southborough Dominos.
The 4th-6th Grade Book Group will meet to discuss their favorite poem or poetry book on Thursday, April 26, 6:30 p.m., at the Library. Pizza and soda provided by the Friends of the Library.
The 2nd & 3rd Grade Book Group will meet on Wednesday, April 25, 6:30 p.m., at the Library. The book they will discuss is It's Raining Pigs and Noodles by Jack Prelutsky.
