What's Happening at the Library in January
Happy New Year and Thank You!
January is a perfect time of year to reflect on the year just past, and to offer up thanks. We are lucky to have many able Library volunteers who file, sort donations, clip newspaper articles, help with special events, make phone calls, process materials, and more.  We have 9 adult volunteers upstairs and a vey capable volunteer in the children's room who are always willing to give their time and talent to the Library.  We also have dozens of teens and 'tweens who help with lots of important tasks: shelf reading, cleaning (yes!) and even shoveling snow.  We also are very thankful for those who made financial donations to the Library this year, as well as patrons who donated materials to our collection and for our book sales. Thank you also to everyone who delivered delicious treats to the Library this holiday season. We thank you all! Your help allows us to provide great service to the community and we couldn't do it without you.
Southborough Library Fund Update

In late November, a flyer promoting the Southborough Library Fund was mailed to Southborough households and businesses. It announced its first annual fund drive, and the goal is to raise $40,000 to fund a planning study for the future needs of the Library. As of the writing of this newsletter just before Christmas, we had raised about $15,000. Thank you to everyone who donated! If you didn't receive the flyer, you can print one out now. Or, you can simply donate online.

Holiday Time at the Library

Thank you to all who helped us organize our Dec. 3 Library Open House. It was such a nice day! Children made beautiful ornaments for the Library Christmas tree, and families had a chance to relax and enjoy treats while awaiting Santa's arrival by helicopter across the street.
