July 2012, Monett Chamber of Commerce                Volume VII, Issue I
Chamber
Connection

Hello Monett Chamber Members!

The topic of this edition's newsletter is communication - how frequently would you like it, in what ways do you want to be reached?

We currently have a website with a calendar which features a community option - as a Member, you can submit for this.

The Monett Chamber is working to develop its Facebook page for event, community and Member notifications.

We are trying to send out an electronic newsletter bi-monthly, but after reviewing open statistics this is not as effective as one would hope.

Starting July 13th, we will also be starting back up our "Chamber Chat" on 95.9 FM.  on the second and fourth Fridays of each month at 9:15 a.m.

Would you be interested in text message reminders that you can opt-in for?

It has been suggested that a paper newsletter and mailed invitations may be the best way to reach the Members, and could also serve as an additional advertising method for you to reach your fellow Chamber Members. Would you be interested in having a newsletter delivered to your mailbox? Please let me know

Don't forget to check the mail for two upcoming opportunities (or read about them here) - Welcome our teachers and new Superintendent, and the new Chamber cookbook.

Working toward our mutual growth and success,

Jeff Meredith, Executive Director

WorkReady
Did you know that a qualified labor force is one of the main factors businesses look at when deciding where to set up or relocate their operations?  What if Monett and the Barry/Lawrence region could differentiate itself from other communities by PROVING that we have a qualified labor force as a Certified Work Ready Community?

The schools are one step in this process, but we also need businesses to support the program for this to be successful.  The Monett Chamber has agreed to be a partner, and we would love it if YOUR business would join us!  Simply click on the logo above for all the information you need.  Let's help improve Monett together!
