Our next mingle will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011, 11:50 - 1:00 p.m. at Aaron's Sales & Lease, 859 Hwy 60, Monett. Aaron's will be giving away a Wii System and other door prizes. September mingle, "Made In Monett" was held at IDF with appx 60 in attendance. $221 was collected for Crosslines! Thanks to IDF for hosting this event, the gift, and providing a peek (at the new dryer). Thanks to the industries who showed their products that are "Made in Monett"! |

Proposed By-Laws/Revisions | |
Proposed revisions to our by-laws will be mailed to all chamber members on Friday, October 7. Please review the changes. Voting will take place at the Mingle on Thursday, October 20th at Aaron's Sales and Lease.

Chamber Checks-Keeping $$ at Home | |
The Chamber will be offering Chamber Checks for 2012. Chamber checks are a $10 gift certificate and may be purchased from chamber office at 200 East Broadway. They can be redeedmed only at participating chamber member businesses. They make great stocking stuffers, gift certificates, employee appreciation gifts, etc. Chamber check quidelines, invitation, and letter of commitment will be mailed this week to all active chamber members. Your commitment form must be returned by November 8th to have your business name printed on the back of the chamber checks as a participating business. |

FESTIVAL OF FLAVORS Tuesday, Nov. 8, 6:00 p.m. | |
Monett's 8th Annual Festival of Flavors will be held on Tuesday, November 8th, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church/Family Life Center. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 7-12, 6 and under are free. Tickets are available now at the Chamber Office or from a board member. Come to the Festival of Flavors and enjoy food/drink samples from your favorite restaurant! |

Public Forum - Barry County Tax | |
A public forum will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Monett City Park Casino, 6:30 p.m. to discuss the Barry County Tax increase that will appear on the November 8th ballot. If you have any questions on this proposed tax increase, be sure to attend this meeting. |

Dairy Queen - Grimes Family Partnership of Arkansas has recently purchased the Monett Dairy Queen from Ed and Cathy Daugherty who have owned the business since 1995. Bryan J. Burns will be the new manager. Welcome to Monett!
Connie's Photography - Mary and Steve Graves have purchased Connie's Photography at 318 East Broadway. Welcome to Broadway!
The Yellow Frog- Soon to open - is a new business located at 5th and Broadway in the former location of Connie's Pet Parlor or back in the '70's, the former Sinclair Rogers Photography Shop. The Yellow Frog will be specializing in "making your own jewelry". Amy and Travis Tennison are the new owners. Welcome to Downtown! |

Lonesome River Band - will be guests on the David Letterman Show on November 11th. Brandon Rickman is a member of the band and is the son of Karla and Gary Rickman. The band will also be in Springfield at the South Haven Baptist Church, 2353 South Campbell on Friday, October 14th, 7:00 p.m.
