MEMBERSHIP MINGLE "MADE IN MONETT" | |
"Made in Monett" will be the theme for the next membership mingle which will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at IDF on Chapell Drive. Lunch ($7.00 per person) will be served at 12:00 p.m. followed by short program. Attendees will be invited to "peek" into the new warehouse and see the new dryer. Please enter by the southernmost door facing Chapell Drive, there will be a greeter to direct you upstairs. There are two flights of stairs and there is not an elevator. Industry members - please contact Regina Bowsher at IDF, 417-235-8374, if you wish to setup a small display of your product that is "Made In Monett". October's mingle will be held at Aaron's Sales and Leasing, 859 Highway 60, on October 20th. Please mark your calendars for both of these dates!

FESTIVAL OF FLAVORS | |
Tuesday, November 8th is the date that has been selected for the Festival of Flavors. It will be held at the First United Methodist Church starting at 6:00 p.m.at the Family Life Center. "Save the Date" postcards have been mailed to all previous vendors and new restaurants in the area. If you know of anyone interested and they have not received an invitation, please let the chamber office know. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 19th. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 7-12, 6 and under are free.

Leadership - Monett | |
Leadership Monett V opened with a two day retreat at Roaring River Lodge with 14 class members attending. Second session was held on Thursday afternoon, August 18th at the chamber meeting room with the theme centered on History of Monett. Tour of the city hall, museum, and Mocha Joe's was part of the afternoon schedule. Next leadership meeting will be held on Thursday, September 1st. That afternoon will be dedicated to education. Highlight of the afternoon will be a tour of the newly remodeled Monett Elementary School, along with lunch at SWACC and a tour of that facility. Next session will be held on Thursday, September 15th. Subject for that afternoon will be Economic Development. |

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS | |
Opening night will be the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving, November 23rd and will run through Monday evening, December 26th. We have some new displays again this year, it will be fun and exciting! About half of the dates are filled for working the elf hut. Call your name in today before all of the dates are filled! |
