Last night WTHR Channel 13, Indianapolis presented a special undercover investigation on unlicensed plumbers. Emmy award-winning anchor, Andrea Morehead, spearheaded the report that informed consumers on the importance of looking for a licensed plumber to protect the health and safety of their family. Click here to see the report. We appreciate Indiana PHCC member, Dave Nance, Nance Plumbing, for being our 'good guy' in the piece. WTHR asked us to supply a licensed plumbing contractor to help them assess the problem, diagnose the options, and give a range of prices.
The association worked with the WTHR team to give them information on licensing requirements, contacts at the IPLA, Attorney General's office and Indiana Plumbing Commission. After the 11:00 p.m. newscast on November 7th, Indiana PHCC President Laura Ciriello-Benedict and I were on hand to assist Andrea as she answered questions on the WTHR Facebook page for 90 minutes. Nearly 100 comments came in after the newscast and they continue this morning. |
