Thank you for being an Indiana PHCC Member! |
Greetings!
As President of Indiana PHCC I am focusing on the value of our plumbing licensing law and working to build coalitions of like-minded groups. We have had success with organizations like Angie's List in helping them understand the importance of our license number and the requirement to use it in advertising. We are making headway with the Indiana Attorney General's office with our FLAG program and they are issuing Cease and Desist Orders to handymen who advertise as plumbers.
This past week the City of Indianapolis Department of Code Enforcement worked with Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau to set up a sting operation to show unlicensed contractors at work. They worked with local news media to film the event. You can learn more and see the actual newscast through the links below. While none of the contractors were plumbers, the message is still important: a licensed, professional protects the family's health and safety!
We applaud the work of the City of Indianapolis in their effort to crack down on unlicensed contractors.
