Summer is winding down but the PHCC chapters are just getting started! PHCC contractors members can get great networking and education in their own backyard:
September 13 - PHCC-North Central will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the Bremen VFW. The speaker will be Chuck White, PHCC Vice President of Technical Services. Among his topics will be the Dept of Energy Workforce Guidelines for Energy Renovations and the Indiana Home Improvement Law as discussed at the Indiana EXPO. September 15 - St. Joe Valley will meet at 6:00 p.m. at Trio's Restaurant and Jazz Club in downtown South Bend. Lisa Hamilton, Director of the Indiana Worker's Compensation Board will be the speaker. For information contact Kathy Jonas at (574) 243-0400.
September 21 - Greater Indianapolis PHCC will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Primo's South in Indianapolis. John Greshover and Federated Insurance will present information on what the health care reform means to contractors and ways to save on group health. Small Business. Big Impact.
Lorraine Ball, Roundpeg Marketing, spoke at this year's EXPO on Social Media. Her firm has recently completed a study of small companies (1-50 employees) who use social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Almost 70% of business owners indicated they generate leads from social media with more than 1/2 of the respondents indicating that social media was connected to at least 6% of their sales. The results are broken down in a variety of ways including gender, age, industry, etc. Click here for a copy of the results. |

 H&H Sales Company, Inc. celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2011. Lynn Harlan founded H&H Equipment Company in 1951 and Lloyd J. Hawkins joined the company in 1959. H&H Equipment Company reorganized into H&H Sales Company, Inc. in 1991. Today's company officers are John L. Hawkins, CEO; Phil M. Randall, President; Tom M. Hiser, VP of Engineering and Rex A. Yant, VP of Operations.
H&H specializes in manufacturing and distributing custom service and delivery truck bodies, custom steel fabrications and other truck/van equipment and accessories. The company works extensively with the propane gas, welding gas, other high pressure gas and the commercial construction/service industries to supply quality commercial vehicles.
Federated Insurance News. Congratulations to Brett Faustman of Federated Insurance. Brett is moving on to become a District Marketing Manager for Federated in Michigan. His replacement as Indiana PHCC Account Exec is Mitchell Gorham. Mitchell starts on October 1. |
