Welcome to amd's first newsletter of 2011, (less than 2 mins to read).

As I'm sure most of you will agree, the first few months of the year has flown by. Thanks to you, my customers, I am pleased to say that at amd we have been very busy and have enjoyed 2011 so far. Paul has inherited a few more grey hairs so things must be hectic! A big thank you to all my team for their continuous support.

We have been fortunate enough to continue picking up new business and I would like to thank all our new customers who are reading this and say that I hope that we can continue trading for many years to come.

I hope you enjoy keeping in touch with what's been going on at amd.

Regards,

Steve
amd in the local news
amd has once again appeared in some local papers which have chosen to focus on the progress which amd continues to make as a local business. and the new jobs that we are bringing to the area. As you all know, we have grown through the recession and we are always pushing to try and reach the next level.

The Journal on 6/4/11 and The Northern Echo on 7/4/11 have both published an article on amd. It is always nice to gain some recognition for all of the hard work that we all put in at amd and I was delighted that a picture of the whole team was included.

The amd team

We are proud to be at the higher level of the coatings industry in the North East and provide our customers with the very best quality and services. We are also now pushing so that we can offer just as comprehensive a service to the oil and gas and engineering sectors, which may require a little more paperwork for their jobs.

The quality management systems and health and safety aspects of the business have improved drastically over the past year with help from NEL funding and we have had a real push recently to re-enforce these aspects of the company. As a result we have attracted interst from some major players in these sectors.

We feel the quality of our product and the personal touch has always been there at amd, so as we continue to push on customer service, quality management, health and safety and environmental policies, we hope that as our customer you will agree that we offer you a fully comprehensive package.

As always, I welcome any conversation with my customers so please give me a call at any time, whether it is to give me some feedback or just to chat!

At the races

At the start of the year I made an investment to advertise amd at Newcastle Racecourse. It is possible that some of you may have seen us there!

We have a hoarding in pride of place that, we hope, increases awareness of amd and gets our name out there.

 Hoarding on site

I am always looking for ways to grow amd and this was another opportunity that we took to try and keep amd moving forward.

The advertisement has already paid for itself and we hope it continues to bring in work through the year.

amd golf days

I recently organised two golf days for my customers and a few special guests. I am sure that everyone who attended will agree that they were a big success and that we all had a great laugh. I tried to play a few shots but after digging up half the course and breaking three clubs I decided that I definitely do not have the patience for it! That said if anybody wants to offer me some free private lessons then let me know!

Instead of playing I decided to make a nuisance of myself and dive around the course like Nigel Mansell in a buggy, chatting to people and winding everyone up as I saw fit!

A big thanks to everybody who attended once again and I hope to do it again next year!

Thanks for taking the time to read about what has been going on at amd.

Kind regards,

Steve Davis
