I cannot believe it is already the 4th of July! WOW!! It seems like it was just yesterday that we had our 3rd Annual EGGstravaganza and here we are getting ready to watch the Beautiful Firework display over Kings Bay in just a blink of an eye. I also cannot fail to mention the 3rd Annual Uncle Sam Scallop Jam this Saturday, July 7th, at Kings Bay Park, in downtown Crystal River (see flyer below for details).
I know alot of you are wondering what is happening at Heritage Village. We have a few shops vacant and even though we are going to miss these businesses greatly, the Village must go on... Transition is not something I enjoy because I also have the whole Village in mind when choosing who will fit best, in our world of specialty and creativity.
Two of the shops have been filled this month. We will miss April and her family at SuGaBuG Kids very much, but are in great hopes they will return for special events in the future. We are happy to announce Pickers & Peddlers has overflowed into both cottages in the back, which gives us more treasures to "Pick" through!
Upfront on Citrus Avenue, next to "All About Nature" we have a soon to be Gallery & Studio called "Downstairs Art". We will be doing a featured story soon, so be watching!
Ok Ok to address the BIG question... what restaurant is going to fill the "Cafe on the Avenue" space... Well, I cannot tell you yet, but I want you to know that we have a list of many interested prospects. We are being VERY selective for the anchor of Heritage Village. The word has gotten out about it's availability and we are excited that it has drawn such an interest. Trust me to say, our choice will be extremely picky and we only want the best for our customers. We are the Village where details matter, so know something great is in store for sure!
Now, on a personal note...I would appreciate prayer for my mother. Mom is 86 and has been in and out of the hospital for the past 6 weeks. If it was not for my mom's family, Heritage Village would not exist. I did not realize until mom got sick that alot of my strength and passion for the Village, is because of her. Needless to say, I have been by her side since Mother's Day and am her biggest cheerleader through her health issues. I am happy to say that mom has been at Life Care in recent weeks, which I cannot say enough good things about, and if all goes well will be home this Friday. I am not sure what the future holds, but our family appreciates all the love and prayers sent our way!
Happy 4th of July!
Sincerely,
Laura Lou Tolle Fitzpatrick
