Greetings!
The Lenten Season is one of introspection and self-examination. We travel with Christ on the road to Jerusalem, knowing this path intimately, as one well-traveled and calling us yet again. Echoing the theme of our Triennial Meeting 2012, this path we travel today is one of many on the One Journey. We hope you are making plans to join us in Indianapolis in July of 2012. Over the next several months we will be sharing information about the wonderful events we have planned for you to make this Triennial Meeting unforgettable. Wishing you a Holy Lent, The ECW Communications Team

The Latest Communiqué...
Most of you should have received the Environmental issue of the Communiqué. We hope you both enjoyed and feel informed about how dedicated women from all the provinces are committed to taking care of this creation God has entrusted to us. The PDF version of this latest issue is available online and can be downloaded to print or read here: Communiqué Spring 2011
The next Communiqué is one the National Board is especially proud to issue. Formerly named the "Tapestry of Ministries", now renamed "Many Paths, One Journey" to reflect this triennial's theme, this is an issue you will want to keep as a resource. This publication will be focused on our many affiliated organizations, who, like ECW, are committed to doing God's work. We may all have a different approach, follow a different path or express our ministries in different ways, but in the end, we have one goal....to do the work that Jesus has asked us to do.
To the leaders of these organizations, please do not wait for us to contact you about an article. This is your opportunity to shout your message to our readers. Send photos! Your story can easily be told in the faces of those you serve as well as the words you write.

The Path to Becoming an Episcopal Church Woman
Many Paths,
One Journey
Dear Readers,
I have been asking many of you through the Province Representatives to share your personal path to becoming an Episcopal Church Woman. Here is one response from the Diocese of Georgia:
I discovered ECW very soon after coming into the Episcopal Church. I loved working with the other women in the church on projects - some as simple as making coffee for Sunday morning, others for fundraising. I could ask questions about why we did certain things certain ways and I was never criticized for not knowing. In fact, my questions were welcomed.
I had been a Christian all my life but had grown up in another tradition, and I was struggling with a life-long call to ministry. ECW gave me a place to begin ministry, a place to see God at work in the church and in the community. I would never have had the courage to do EFM (Education for Ministry) without the support of my ECW friends.
The sudden death of a good friend was made more bearable by my ECW friendships. The work of the Church was more fun when we did it together. ECW expanded my vision to the Diocese as a whole and made me much more aware of the national church. When I began the discernment process and into seminary, ECW encouraged and supported me with money and prayers. Even now as an ordained priest, I wear my ECW cross or pin with great pride and gratitude.
Without ECW my life would be infinitely duller, my faith would be less mature and my connection to the Episcopal church much weaker. I am grateful to ECW for all it has done for me. As a priest I hope to give back in some small measure.
The Rev. June Johnson
Interim Rector
St. John's Episcopal Church
Diocese of Georgia
Province IV
