Darby Needs You!
Darby is a beautiful Beagle who needs a long-term foster home. Our Darby has been adopted 5 times now, and keeps coming back to us because of behavioral issues. She is young, only a year and a half, and we know that with the proper training she would make the perfect addition to any household.
We are looking for a foster home that is willing to take Darby to our training classes and work with her for at least 6 weeks. She is a fast learner and a people pleaser. We know that once she has been through training she will be an amazing girl!
Darby loves to go for walks, an an active foster home would probably be best. She would make a great running partner and loves to play catch!
If you have the time and energy it takes to help make this girl a gem, please call 301.645.8181 and ask for Cathy Inscore or you can email her at cinscore@humanesocietycc.org |

Laddie is a ten year old Aussie that came in with his brother and sister. He was very sweet and we thought he'd make an excellent office dog. Which he did until he decided he was done and burst out the door. After chasing him for longer than I thought was possible for me to run, we finally caught him up by the Taco Bell (maybe he was hungry?). After that it was decided that maybe he needed to go back into a dog run until he was adopted.
It didn't take long for him to sucker in a family with those eyes! Within a few days he had cast his spell on the Jerow family. They took him home, and somehow have managed to keep him from showing up as a stray! I recently ran into Shelby Jerow and she said he is a great boy, who still tries to run for days, but they are working on curbing that behavior. He now has a sister Miley who the Jerow's acquired a few months after Laddie. He loves Miley very much, and her young energy makes him feel like a kid again! Hooray to the Jerow's for loving our runner! |

Lou Lou
Our little Lou Lou had to have another surgery because she was not healing properly. She is doing well and we will be picking her up shortly. She will stay with us for the remainder of the week and then finally she will get to enjoy some time in her foster home.
We would like to thank Dr. Forrest at VCA Animal Hospital in Lexington Park for taking such good care of Lou Lou. She is a wonderful girl who deserves nothing but the best and Dr. Forrest made sure she got it!
