Roscoe has a home!
Many of you may remember Roscoe, the Boston Terrier who was hit by a car and suffered from a dislocated hip and a broken leg. He stayed here with us recuperating for over 3 months before he was finally feeling well enough to be adopted.
During his stay with us, a family in Pennsylvania saw our plea for help with his medical costs and fell in love with him. They came to visit him, and called weekly to check on his progress. Once Roscoe was feeling better Mr. and Mrs. Hunter came down as fast as they could to bring him home!
Roscoe now has a happy family to call his own, and new brother, Baxter that looks almost identical to him!
We hope they all enjoy each other for many years to come! |

Each year we offer care and assistance to over 10,000 animals through our many programs. In addition, our Humane Education Department reaches out to over 10,000 members of the community from Pre-K to Seniors. |

Training and Agility Classes Forming Now!
- Agility Classes start June 12th at 8:30 a.m. Classes are 1 hour long and meet each Sunday for 6 weeks. Please contact Glory Ann at 301.367.0776 or by email trainerscornerhumanesocietycc@gmail.com for more information.
- Basic Obedience classes start Sunday June 26, at 11 a.m. and Sunday, July 10, at 10:00 a.m. Classes are 1 hour long and meet each Sunday for 6 weeks. This is a positive reinforcement class, teaching you how to help your dog be a better friend and companion. Topics covered include: Sit, Stay, Down, Leave It, Drop It, Jumping, Barking, Potty Training, Handling and much more!
