Looking for a kitty to make this summer extra warm? As this little girl can tell you, cats make lives better in a million different ways. And this month, there is no adoption fee!
In the spring and summer, our shelter is overloaded with cats and kittens. To make room for this influx, we will waive all adoption fees for cats one year or older during the month of June. All of our cats have been tested for felv/fiv, are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and current on their vaccines.
Visit us on Facebook to see pitcures and a short description of many of our adoptable kitties. You will find a friend there for every taste. Some are frisky, some are shy. The advantage of a mature cat is that you can judge their temperament and better tell if they will fit in with your lifestyle. |

Vaccine Clinic , Sunday, June 13 |
A Vaccine Clinic for dogs, cats, and ferrets will be held this Sunday, June 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Humane Society, 71 Industrial Park Drive, Waldorf. Rabies vaccines will be $10, distemper combo vaccines $12, microchips $20. Charles County dog licenses will also be available: $2 if your dog is spayed or neutered; $15 if not spayed or neutered. Cats are not required to be licensed.
MD law requires that all dogs, cats, and ferrets fur months of age and older have a current rabies vaccine. There is a possible minimum fee of $50 for non-compliance. Distemper vaccines are not required by law but are highly recommended for both dogs and cats to protect them from highly contagious viral infections that can be deadly.
Please be sure that your dog is leashed with a properly fitted collar. Cats and ferrets should be in carriers.
