Since our last newsletter, many exciting things have been happening here at Conexus SG.

Some of our recent projects include upgrading a customer from Microsoft Dynamics GP 8 (formerly Great Plains) to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2. Additionally, we implemented Microsoft Forecaster, a budgeting and forecasting tool, for a large client in the medical services space. 

There are a number of great new features in GP 2010 R2. In this issue we will be discussing Business Analyzer as well as the ability to email reports from within Dynamics GP. You can look forward to more tips on the new features of Dynamics GP in the January issue.

New Feature Of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 That You Should Be Using. 

Business Analyzer

Business Analyzer is a great new feature that allows financial managers to gain access to data without having to log into the application. Business Analyzer can be installed on a workstation that does not have the GP client installed. 

This is useful for users who need access to financial information but do not have access to GP.

Many new predesigned reports are included with Business Analyzer. Additional reports can be created using SQL Server Reporting Services. By leveraging currently existing SSRS technology users may add new reports to the display.

You can now consolidate Excel Reports data from Multiple companies into a single Excel worksheet.

Reports that have reports options can now be emailed from three different locations within Dynamics GP.

You also have the option of either attaching or embedding the report in the email.

To implement this simply setup an Email Option within the report option form, once the email option is saved, the reports will be generated in HTML format and can then be emailed.
