RBC BANK BEAT
                     Volume 2                                                  Issue   6

June 2010
Dear Friend:

Washington continues to amend both the House and Senate versions of a "Financial Reform Bill" and it is hard for me to talk about possible outcomes when nothing has been decided.  I hoped to be able to shed some light on some of the bill's issues, but with the rapid changes taking place it would be premature to attempt explanation.  I will forward information about changes as they become more concrete!

I read an article lately that gave some statistics on bank customers.  An overwhelming majority of bank customers believe that Community Banks have much better service than Mega-Banks.  This sounds really good for us, doesn't it!  However, the same percentage of customers believe Mega-Banks have better products than Community Banks.  Ok, now it doesn't sound as good. The article stated that when dealing with financial institutions, the average customer believes they must sacrifice either service or products.  They think there is no way to have both!  I mention this because after considering this information, our staff is engaged in redeveloping our products to better serve our customers!  We are reviewing every detail of every account we have along with any other service we provide.

This is where I ask for your help.  If you have a need that we are currently not meeting to your satisfaction, please let us know.  We will be utilizing "Focus Groups" to help us determine what our customers would like to experience at our institution.  If you are interested in being a part of a Focus Group please contact Ashley Bugg, Development Coordinator, (abugg@richwoodbank.com) and let us know!

We understand that service alone will not make loyal customers.  We must have products that make life easier for them as well.  Thanks for helping us become a bank where you can "Have your cake, and eat it too!"

The Richwood Banking Company
FEATURED BUSINESS

Richwood Tire Center, LLC, has been providing complete auto service to Richwood and the surrounding areas under current family ownership since 1982. Ted Kavanagh, previous owner of Richwood Tire Center, bought the business in 1982, when it was chiefly a tire and alignment shop. Bringing his experience from the auto repair industry and in starter and alternator rebuilding. Over the years, he transformed it into a full service auto repair shop, while still maintaining tire and alignment service.

Second generation owner, Tracy Kavanagh, grew up fixing mowers and cars with his dad, and worked for him at Richwood Tire Center while in high school and college. After obtaining his Bachelor's of Science degree at The Ohio State University, he spent the next 19 years employed in the food manufacturing industry working in research and development, supervision, quality assurance, engineering and validation. In 2006, due to his father's health, Tracy and his wife, Dawn, bought the family business. His experience in the food industry has given him the understanding of the importance of quality and engineering, which is crucial in making sure your car is fixed right and with professionalism, which helps assure the customer's needs come first. Dawn takes care of the bookkeeping and payroll, and helps wherever needed. Their sons Kody & Conner, who are learning the trade, also help part -time making it a full family business. Visit The Richwood Tire Company for all your automotive service and repair needs.

FYI

Stress is a part of everybody's life, but we don't have to let it overwelm us. Here are some tips on how to deal with it.

1. Talk things out. If you hold in your feelings, it will only make things worse.

2. Exercise regulary. We should exercise 30 minutes a day 5 days a week.

3. Eat right. Protein and vitamins A, B and C help protect us from the effects of stress.

4. Don't use drugs, alcohol, or tobacco to help deal with stress.

5. Manage your time efficiently, and keep a positive attitude.

6. Be sure to develop a support system of family and friends that you can depend on for help.

7. Be sure to get enough sleep each night.

If you follow these tips, you can manage your stress and not let it overtake your life.
