December 2009

Dear Friend:
I want to personally thank all of those who attended our Dueling Piano show on November 4th!  We had over 500 in attendance and the response was overwhelming!  Due to the number of letters and verbal requests, we will schedule Mike and Amy again in the future.  We will keep everyone informed of the date and location, as soon as we have them on the calendar!
Another Holiday Season is upon us and we are trying to make a difference in the community!  Our staff is currently collecting food for REAP, collecting gifts for Toys for Tots, and we have adopted families to help out at Christmas!  Our staff is always looking for ways to help others.  I am proud to work with so many caring individuals!  I encourage you to look for a way to help someone this season, the feeling of making someone else's day a little better is incredible!
Finally, Thank You. Thanks for continuing to trust us with your financial goals. We know our success depends on you, as we strive to help you reach your own financial milestones!  We hope 2010 brings a brighter economy and wish you good luck in all of your endeavors!

Sincerely,

Chad L. Hoffman

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BANKER!

Hi. My name is Krista Salyer. I was born and raised in Richwood.  I graduated in 1992 from North Union High School.  I moved to Columbus and attended Columbus State Community College.   I graduated with an Associates Degree in Executive Office Administration in 1994.  I then worked in downtown Columbus at Nationwide Insurance as an Administrative Assistant for 7 years.  I decided to take time off to raise a family with my husband, Keith.  We moved back to Richwood and I enjoyed being a stay- at- home mom. We have two wonderful boys, Gavin (10) and Griffin (4).  I started working part-time at the Richwood office in November of 2002 as a teller in the drive-thru and then transitioned to Operations.  In March of 2009, I went full-time as the BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) Assistant.  I am a huge Wildcat and Buckeye fan!  I enjoy watching Gavin play football and basketball with the Minicats and Griffin playing soccer.

COOKS CORNER

 Gingerbread  Men

1 (3.5 ounce) package cook & serve butterscotch pudding mix
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. In a medium bowl, cream together the dry butterscotch pudding mix, butter, brown sugar until smooth. Stir in the egg. Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, and cinnamon; stir into mixture. Cover and chill dough until firm, about 1 hour.

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheets. On floured board, roll dough out to about 1/8 inch thickness, and cut into man shapes using cookies cutter. Place cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.

3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until cookies are golden at the edges. Cool on wire racks.

FYI
Six ways to save money this Holiday Season!

1. Consider cutting back. Instead of exchanging gifts with anyone & everyone, why not establish some gift giving limits? Draw names, keep it in the family, limit it to just kids.

2. Make a budget & stick to it. Make a conscious effort to actually stop shopping.

3. Consider re-gifting. While re-gifting can be a good option, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, only do it if you think the recipient will genuinely appreciate the gift. Second, keep it out of the same social circle, and don't do it with one-of-a-kind items.

4. Give homemade gifts. Cookies, candy, pies, cakes, etc.

5. Consider charitable giving. If you really want to get in the holiday spirit, consider helping out your local charities.

6. Spend time with family. More than anything, what you and your loved ones will really remember from this and every holiday season, is the time you spent together and the things you did. So make a point to spend quality time with your family & friends.
