Greetings!,
Like Paul's imprisonment becoming a positive force for spreading the Gospel, the elimination of seminarian support funding at General Convention has highlighted the critical significance of SIM's ministry.
Click on the link below to hear an interview with SIM from-the-floor of General Convention by Episcopal Web Radio. Two of this year's SIMinarians (those who are receiving SIM scholarships), Anne Jolly and Colin Mathewson, both of whom helped staff our General Convention booth and who are about to begin their senior year at Sewanee, joined me for the 8 minute interview.
SIM alumnus, the Reverend Robert Kaynor, represents SIM in our pastoral meetings with SIMinarians at Duke Divinity School. He recently remarked about SIM's role in facing the challenges for The Episcopal Church:
"I am convinced that in these times, SIM needs all the help it can get, and the church needs SIM more than ever."
Please help spread the impact of SIM's ministry for all Episcopalians.
Faithfully,
Tom Moore
Executive Director
