A Message about the billing process from our Accounts Manager, Lucia Kidney

Last week you should have received a 'class confirmation' email confirming the class you've registered for.  Most tuition statements will be not be sent out until the week of August 9th. Many of our customers have expressed a desire for us to simplify our billing which includes accounting for recital costs. For this reason and also to better allow for family budgeting, we are billing full costume costs, for all students, (except Boys)**, along with tuition this year.

Your first payment will be due on September 5th which will include 50% of your tuition PLUS costume charges and Munroe fees. The remaining tuition balance will be due on December 15th.

The Munroe Center has asked us to collect Building Restoration fees for them again this year which are $25 per student / maximum $60 per family.  (Please read a note from Christian Herold, Director of the Munroe Center for the Arts below in this newsletter.)

As always, The Dance Inn offers Alternate Tuition Plans for families who would prefer to pay in four installments instead of two. There are no additional costs for this Plan. In order to keep our tuition costs down, this year we are requiring that any families requesting these plans, must be enrolled in the "Recurring Payment Plan" that is offered in Studio Director (our online software program).  You set up your own account and your credit card information is secured for The Dance Inn by a third party processing company. The system would automatically charge your credit card ¼ of your tuition on the designated dates of August 15, 2010, October 15, 2010, December 15, 2010 and February 15, 2011. Each time your credit card is charged, you are automatically sent an email receipt for the transaction.

Requests for Alternate Tuition Plans must be received in writing no later than August 23rd. Please send your written requests to office@thedanceinn.com and put "Alternate Tuition Plan Request" on the subject line.

*Legacy students will be receiving their statements the week of July 26th.

**Costumes for our male dancers vary, which is why we will wait to bill until our Costume Manager can accurately assess cost when the costuming is complete.

Please remember we are here to answer any questions you may have about anything mentioned in this newsletter.  We appreciate your patience and feedback.

Why do I have to pay a "Building Restoration Fee?"

Your Building Restoration Fee dollars at work!

By Christian Herold

Munroe Center for the Arts Executive Director

This summer and fall, in the lower level where the Dance Inn is situated, we will repaint and replace carpeting in the common areas and the Dance Inn office. We'll also add new lighting and remove some of the unneeded overhead ducts, and add occupancy sensors to new locations.

Elsewhere in the building, we'll repair the gutters, so that you won't get wet or slip on ice when you enter the building. We'll also replace emergency lighting battery packs throughout the building, paint the exterior doors, put in a new hanging system in the gallery, preemptively repair our oil tanks, and address other plumbing and electrical projects.

If you have any other questions or concerns about the Munroe Center please contact Christian directly: 781.862.6040

Come celebrate dance in Massachusetts!  We hope you'll participate in many of the exciting offerings the festival brings that include a little something for everyone!

Thelma Goldberg will be teaching a master class on August 22nd and come support our Legacy dancers in a performance on that afternoon @ 4pm (at the Boston Ballet).
